FILMMAKER FRANK BIESENDORFER TO SCREEN INTIMATE WORK IN SOLO SHOW

Colorado Springs, CO, USA, January 15, 2003 - The International Experimental Cinema Exposition (TIE) in Collaboration with Chaos Studios is presenting LIVING WITH THE CAMERA: The Films of Frank Biesendorfer (In Person) on Saturday, Feb. 22. 8PM at Chaos Studios (802 N. Weber St., Colorado Springs, 634-5429.) $7 at the door. Seating is limited.

Frank Biesendorfer's films are refreshingly sincere. The primary images of Biesendorfer's work reference celebrations of family, sex, narcissism, intimacy and love. He works with 16mm and Super 8 film. The films that will be shown include: selected chapters of an on-going Super 8 series entitled "Super Narcissus", as well as, the Super 8 and 16mm films "Home Movies", "Frauen Muskel", "No Wonder", "Sweet Sweet", "Posing", & "I Like Myself". Biesendorfer will also be available for Q & A.

Colorado Springs resident, Frank Biesendorfer has recently arrived from Germany's vast and thriving experimental film scene. His work has screened all through Europe and is receiving critical acclaim for his brilliant and rebellious work in the avant-garde. Biesendorfer studied filmmaking and cooking for 5 years under Austrian avant-garde film master, Peter Kubelka. He grew up in Palm Beach, Florida where he played varsity football in high school. His current interests are golf and physical fitness. He resides in Colorado Springs with his wife and two children and cooks for one of Colorado's exquisite and renowned restaurants.

Several of the films contain images that are, to the fullest extent, sexually explicit. - "...when living with the camera, you can't avoid sex and the naked body....and I don't want to exclude it from my work...Its a part of life". - Frank Biesendorfer
