Colorado Springs resident, Frank Biesendorfer has recently arrived from Germany's vast and thriving experimental film scene. His films have screened through Europe and are receiving critical acclaim for his brilliant, powerful and rebellious work in the avant-garde. The primary images of Biesendorfer's compositions reference celebrations of family, sex, narcissism, intimacy and love. Biesendorfer studied filmmaking and cooking for 5 years under Austrian avant-garde film master, Peter Kubelka. He grew up in Palm Beach, Florida where he played varsity football in high school. Frank Biesendorfer was recently elected and now serves on the Board of Artistic Directors for The International Experimental Cinema Exposition, along-side with esteemed members such as M.M. Serra, Stan Brakhage & Standish Lawder. His current interests are golf and physical fitness. Mr. Biesendorfer will be present to discuss his films and answer questions.
